Dale Chihuly (1941-) Glass Seaform Vase, Teal Blue Blown Glass with Amber Wave Decoration. Signed Chihuly on Body and PP 97 on underside. Approximate Size 8" High X 7.5" Diameter. A Stunningly Beautiful Art Work in Glass. Chihuly is Quite Possibly The Greatest Glass Artist of The Twentieth Century and His Works Have Been Exhibited At Major Art Museums Around The World. The Vase Was Originally Purchased From Chihuly Workshop (Portland Press) with a Specially Designed Display Vitrine and a Copy of "Chihuly Seaforms" By Dale Chihuly Reprinted 1997. Vase is Mounted in a Portland Press Clear Plexiglas Vitrine on Black Lucite Surface at The Angle Dale Considered Best for Display. Base of Vitrine is Black Metal. Vitrine Overall Height is 53.75". Metal Stand and Black Lucite Mounting Surface is 40" High. Vitrine Display Area Measures 12.5" X 12.5" X 12.5". Kennedy's Auction Service does not provide auction estimates. Condition - Vase is in good condition and damage free. Vase was purchased from the Chihuly Workshop (Portland Press) in Seattle, Washington. Vase came mounted in the specially designed vitrine, at what Dale considered the optimal angle for display of this beautiful work of art in glass.
