This lot consists of an original oil on canvas painting signed 'Modigliani' at upper right. The portrait is in the modern style of Amedeo Modigliani (Italian, 1884-1920). This image consists of a woman with an elongated face, chestnut hair, and blank bluish-gray eyes that stare past the viewer. The work is very reminiscent of Modigliani's 1917 work 'Blue Eyes,' a Portrait of Madame Jeanne Hébuterner. En verso is the beginnings of a second image, in black paint, depicting a woman in near-profile with long hair and a lacy collar, looking off to the right of the viewer. Beside the woman towards the top of the image are the words 'Cafe Paris' and a signature 'Modigliani' above her shoulder. Unframed work measures approximately 15.75' by 11.75'.
