An embroidered russet silk ground dragon robe Late Qing dynasty The nine dragons defined primarily in gilt-wrapped threads, surrounded by clouds, cranes and bats in polychrome satin stitch as well as ribboned emblems of the Immortals in knotted stitch, the wide lishui border below also rendered in satin stitch and the black silk ground neck and sleeve bands embroidered en suite (noticeable wear, staining, losses to threads, repairs). 53 1/2in (136cm)
