Description
Greece, Magna Graecia / South Italic Colonies, ca. 4th to 3rd century BCE. A lovely oinochoe (pouring vessel) with a rather rotund body, cylindrical neck, trefoil lip, and strap handle bridging rim to shoulder. The body is adorned with black horizontal striations of varying thicknesses and spacing; vertical striations highlight the contours of the handle, and black pigment adorns neck to rim. Size: 7.5" W x 8.75" H (19 cm x 22.2 cm)
