Description
AN AMERICAN LATE FEDERAL INLAID BANDED MAHOGANY, ROSEWOOD AND BOXWOOD CHEST, NEW ENGLAND, FIRST HALF 19TH CENTURY, in the William and Mary taste, the rectangular top within an inlaid string edge, above a flat frieze inlaid with rosewood within boxwood string inlay, above two short cock beaded drawers, above three graduating cock beaded drawers, the facade inlaid with rosewood veneer, raised on beehive turned bun feet, joined by a shaped apron. Height: 41 1/2" Width: 39 7/8" Depth: 19 1/8"
Condition
Some minor repairs, possible professional restoration, expected mild surface wear, some broken carving near the foot, but pieces present. Overall in very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
