Chinese Pigmented painting of a spotted celestial horse being led by Chinese Qing Dynasty Pigmented painting of a brown and white horse being ridden by a Mongolian archer on the hunt for a large fowl. This masterful painting is set on a dark-colored backsplash and is inscribed by a semi-cursive calligraphy on the right-hand side. Several light seal marks line the top edge of the painting. The painting is mounted on top of a grayish-celadon matte. A minimal amount of waring can be seen on the surface due to the protection of the thick silk backing.
