Description
A Greek terracotta figure of a youth, possibly Canosan, c. 4th - 3rd Century BC, he sits on a rectangular seat with left leg draped over the corner, wearing a robe draped over his right shoulder, right hand on his belly and left supporting him on the seat; his features are nicely modeled and his hair is shoulder and curly. H: 4 5/8 in (11.7 cm). Well preserved with much of the original paint remaining. Ex collection of a Manhattan, New York professor, acquired in the 1970\'s.
