18th century AD or earlier. A glass vessel comprising a conical foot with ridged shoulder and balustered stem supporting a spherical bowl; to the top a balustered cylindrical neck with a wide flared lip; to the body two lateral handles each with a ring; body inscribed with two peacocks above two concentric lines. 425 grams, 20cm (8"). From an important South London private collection; acquired in the early 1990s.
