An exceptional walnut renaissance revival case with hinged dome top having a band of filigree inlays, the base has 2 doors in the front and 2 doors in the back, inlaid oval panels in the doors and sides with a scene of birds nested in a branch with filigree; an exceptional case in original finish. The treadle sewing machine has a black enameled iron frame with gilt stenciling, foot petal and storage drawers are in the base; signed on the work plate and on a round brass tag for “Willcox & Gibbs Sewing Machine Co., New York”. Has key which works on the front door and the lid, condition is excellent, drive belt is broken. 39.5 in. high x 32.5 in. wide x 22.5 in. deep.
