Description
Finely potted globular body with the broad rounded sides, decorated with four reticulated quatrefoil panels each enclosing a striding dragon on a relief carved trefoil floral ground, the shoulder molded with four lion heads on a carved band decorated with a pair phoenix amidst meandering floral scrolls, all above a band of tall lappet panels encircle the foot, fitted with a domed cover carved with further lappets radiating from the knop surmounted with a seated mythical beast, applied overall with an icy blue-green transparent glaze,, the base unglazed revealing the off-white stoneware burnt orange in the firing, 16.5 inch high.
