Meret Oppenheim (Swiss, 1913-1985) "Traccia" Table
ca. 1970s, with an oval gold-leaf top mounted to polished bronze bird legs.
h. 25-1/2", w. 26-1/2", d. 20-3/4"
Notes: Meret Oppenheim was a Swiss surrealist artist who first created the design for this table in 1939. It was later reproduced by the Simon International firm of Italy in the 1970s. The claw feet of the table legs mimic the footprints on the top of the table. Oppenheim's works are in the Museum of Modern Art, Manhattan, and an example of this table is in the Collection of the Kirkland Museum of Fine and Decorative Art, Denver, Colorado.

Condition
In overall fine condition. No sign of damage or repairs. Beautiful gold leaf surface to the top. We could
find no markings or signature.
