Surfing: a wonderful, original Art Deco wood engraving print. While the original was done in the 1920's and 30's by John Farleigh, it is possible that this is a later copy by E. M. Washington. Even though we feel it is original, we can not guarantee that, so we offer it as a decorative piece only. It is, however, quite wonderful. This sizes of this piece are: Image 7 1/2 x 5 3/4. Outside of frame 16 3/4 x 14.

Farleigh was a noted English artist who died in 1965. His work is in several major museums and has been catalogued. Among many other achievements, Farleigh also did illustrations for books, including some of the work of George Bernard Shaw. The pieces we have are all printed on cream colored paper, signed and dated and matted, and in stainless steel finished wood frames. The frames were hard to photograph due to reflections but look very nice. These are in excellent condition and are striking visual images.
