Description
Rare Pepper Box Dagger Gun Cane, 19th c., the horn handle with a silver collar enclosing a four shot pepper box pistol, with a central four sided dagger, atop a malacca shaft, with a brass tip, H.- 35 in., D.- 4 7/8 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. Fires four shots at a time, cocked by pulling the barrel forward. Firing mechanism in working order. Edge of horn handle shows some chips and the shaft of the cane shows some minor surface scratches and wear. Stamped Birmingham, 1876 on the handle. Surface dirt present, would benefit from a cleaning. A lovely example.
