A no reserve auction!Jean Michel Basquiat 1960-1988. Imposing size acrylic and oil stick painting on a stretched canvas! Measures a 37x35 Inches (over 3 feet across) .The art and the canvas stretching are typical of Basquiat.The colors are strong, bright and vivid.There are some minor signs of aging, work seems a bit "soiled' possibly due to artist way of work.It is very hard to see this level of intensity in a art on Live Auctioneers.Art of this caliber is not very common on this venue yet here it is in smaller edition in as much as camera can transfer the powerful impact, the raw energy, of artist's deep intent and intricate workings of his subconscious...That, of course can only be experienced in person. The work is divided in two uneven left and right sides of which the right one (when facing) is green and the left yellow.Across the green field in bold letters following is written : "Medium Green".
