Description
While this violin is labelled Nicolaus Gagliano filius Alexandri fecit Neap. 1769, it is likely a trade reproduction made somewhere in the early 20th Century. We make no claims, either way. The two-piece back of narrow curl, the varnish of a gold brown colour, the length of back 13 13/16in (352mm). The violin is in restorable condition, please see photos for best description. The case is a vintage Jaeger, prized in the violin world. It also has a GEWA case cover in decent condition, but needs some stitch work. This combination really adds some coolness and value to the piece.Â
