High Grade Civil War 1850 US Staff & Field Sword

Description

Very handsome model 1850 Staff & Field officers sword of presentation grade. These staff swords were authorized for officers carrying the rank of major or above. But plenty of junior officers had them because they were much better looking than the authorized Foot Officer pattern. This sword is head and shoulders above most. Beautiful guard with eagle-head quillon. Steel scabbard has deluxe mounts. This is 100% original and complete and in truly fine condition. 39 inches overall in scabbard. 32 inch blade. Super piece.
