This lot consists of a hand stenciled aerosol painting on a large piece of recycled cardboard, attributed to the contemporary street artist Banksy (British, 1974 -). Image depicts the Grim Reaper holding a hay scythe. Underneath the Reapers' hood is a slightly demonic smiley face. The Reaper stares darkly, perhaps warningly back at the viewer. The words "WRONG WAR" are stenciled under the Reaper. This painting is an iteration of Banksy's "Wrong War" pieces. Painting is done in the contemporary graffiti style for which the enigmatic street artist Banksy is so well known. This unique piece would make a great addition to any contemporary art collector's gallery.

Piece comes in an exceptional museum quality framing. Painting inside is on used, recycled cardboard. Cardboard has three eraser-sized holes in the center and chips, bumps and rips around the edges. Vertical and horizontal creases throughout. Overall image is crisp and clear. Piece is vibrant and shows very well.
