Item Details

Description

A wonderful Victorian dress worn as a wedding dress in 1878. Included is the original photo of the bride and her shoes. The dress is in quite good condition for its age and I found no serious damage. I would assume though that because of its age it is delicate and may or may not be suitable to be worn. It is in a greenish taupe shaded taffeta with marvelous period detail. The pearl buttons are printed with bird images. For an idea of size, the waist measurement is 22". Also included is a silk camisole which we received with this group.
