Description: Atomic Bomb

Four-Image Photograph Signed “Paul W. Tibbets,” “Tom Ferebee / 11/6/90,” and “Theodore J. Van Kirk – Navigator / 11-23-90” Black & white, 10” x 8”. Four photographs, each 4.5” x 3.5”, on one photographic surface, signed by the crew member at his image. Fine condition.

Paul W. Tibbets was the pilot, Thomas W. Ferebee the bombardier, and Theodore J. “Dutch” Van Kirk the navigator on “Enola Gay,” the B-29 superfortress that dropped the first atomic bomb over Hiroshima, Japan, on August 6, 1945, hastening the end of World War II.
