George Grosz, collection of photos & negs, George Grosz (German/American, 1893-1959), early 20th c., black and white proof photos taken onboard a ship, possibly the "New York", some marked up in grease pencil, approx. 37 prints and 42 negatives, most 8" x 10"
Provenance: Estate of Richard Cohn; Erich Cohn (1890-1972), a German-Jewish emigrant, was a noted collector of German Expressionist art and a friend of Grosz's, donating many of the artist's works to museums
