This lot consists of an ink and graphite illustration on paper, done in the cartoonish, Pop Art style of Brian "Kaws" Donnelly (American, 1974 - ). Image depicts a stout, grinning creature with huge eyes and a round, pudgy belly. A curious and endearing piece. Brian "Kaws" Donnelly (American, 1974 - ) is a designer, painter, and printmaker who received his formal education at New York City's School of Visual Arts (SVA). Kaws is known for his pantheon of cartoon-like figures, often represented in larger-than-life sculpture. Many influences from Claes Oldenburg, Andy Warhol, and Gehard Richter are evident in Kaws' colossal body of work.
