Description
JAPANESE ENAMELED SILVER TRAY, LATE 19TH C., L 12":Rectangular silver tray with notched corners, the well features two cranes at a stream among foliage, bordered by floral, bird and butterfly medallions, accented with enamel in shades of peach, purple, sky blue, golden yellow, white, and green. No apparent marks. Measures H.3/4" x 11 7/8" x 8 1/2".
Condition
A lovely tray with beautiful enamel decoration, having a very small and minor split at the rim on the left side (somewhat evident in the photo); raised on short feet, one of which has been glued, lacking a fourth foot (evident in additional photo); scant loss to the enamel. Does not appear to be marked. Chs
