This is a very early piece of paper advertising framed in its original gesso and walnut frame advertising Henry Tetlow's Complexion Powder Gossamer. The original frame so marked "Tetlow's Gossamer" and "H. Tetlow Philadelphia". Overall condition of the framed image is very good with bright color and almost a colored sepia tone look to it, with the gold lettering in the lower left-hand corner being complete and distinctive. The frame shows signs of use as corners have begun to separate, however it is completely repairable with no missing carving pieces. The glass cover to the advertising piece is cracked in two places: the upper left-hand corner for about 4" down from the top and in the lower left-hand corner, 1" up from the bottom.
