Yu Chen (Chen Yu) (B. 1969). oil on canvas unsigned 23 1/4 x 35 1/4 inches sight; 24 x 36 inches canvas Condition: a vertical, protruding crease about six inches long, running through the forehead of the second baby from the right, that shows as a dark line on the front of the canvas. Another vertical crease, about 2 1/2 inches long, extending downwards from the top edge on the right, and another one, about 4 inches long, at the upper right corner. A stretcher bar crease along the lower edge. An area of heavy craquelure to the lower right corner. An area of what resembles faint, ghostly writing or symbols in the area of the chest of the baby second from the right. Under blacklight, several spots and lines fluoresce (the largest area of fluorescence being about 4 x 3 inches, located in the upper right corner) and several areas of apparent paint abrasions show.
