Spradberry, Walter E. (1889-1969). Green Line / Flowers of the Season. London: Waterlow & Sons, 1933. Bright lithograph poster advertising the Green Line coaches as a means of travel to observe spring flowers in the Greater London area. 40 x 25”. Expertly repaired losses in corners and margins; a few restored small losses in image. Linen backed. B+. Spradberry studied at Walthamstow Art School and exhibited at the Royal Academy. He designed numerous posters for London Transport and Underground, as well as British Railways and LNER. His posters are held at the British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, Museum of Modern Art, and other prominent institutions.
