Title: CAST IRON PAIR OF EAGLES

Decription: A Pair OF CAST IRON EAGLES IN ORIGINAL PAINT. THEY ARE MOUNTED ON A CAST IRON BACK THAT ALLOWS THEM TO SWING SIDE TO SIDE. THEY HAVE HOLES UNDER NECK WHERE CHAINS WERE ATTACHED TO HOLD GLOBES. THIS TYPE OF EAGLE SOMETIMES WAS IN DRUGSTORES, HUNG WITH FILLED COLORFUL WATER IN THE GLOBES. THEY ARE 15 INCHES TALL. THE BOLTS WERE THEY ARE ATTACHED TO THE BACKPLATE ARE REPLACED. THEY DATE TO C.1940. PAIRS ARE LESS OFTEN SEEN AS THEY GET SEPARATED OVER THE YEARS. THEY COULD BE USED TO HANG A SIGN.
