PROVENANCE
inscription on verso "Spanish Prince"-very old. Owned by sister Dolly Paihler and after her death. Given to me (Charlotte B. Rainler) by sister Grace Johnson-Sept.1926-1946

CONDITION
Observed in frame. The work is in overall stable condition. Overall craquelure most notably on the kerchief. Inspection under UV shows overall retouching betwen 10-15%. Most notably the kerchief and shirt. On verso the canvas has been stablized with wax and there is a visible imprint from the craquelare.
