This wonderful volume is a fine piece of antique memorabilia for Yale Alumni.
First compiled for the Class of 1866, the edition here offered was revised and enlarged in 1873, with the addition of more songs. the book has a lovely, engraved frontispiece depicting various views of the Yale campus as it was in Victorian times.
There is a brief preface included from the 1867 edition which is indicative of the spirit in which the book was created.
The design of this volume of YALE SONGS is to supply a manifest deficiency in the compilations of the College.
