A c.1960s Dynacord Cora electric guitar black finish with a chrome wire frame body owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist. From the personal collection of Randy Bachman.

Dynacord (Germany) guitars were made by Weston, an Italian brand, with less than 100 examples of these wire frame instruments known to exist. This black body/chrome frame variant is said to be more plentiful than the red and gold version.

Unlike the prototype included in this auction, this black-and-chrome guitar is complete and in good overall condition. The chrome wire frame body surrounds the black-finished maple center portion, with three pickups and side-mounted controls for each. Bridge and vibrato appear to be original.

The neck is made of laminated maple with no truss rod, a Rosewood fretboard with 22 frets and dot inlays. The headstock also differs from the prototype with its six-in-line headstock and clear Dynacord branding. Zero fret with a string guide nut.
