Original Korean War Killed in Action archive from Private John S. Eshima, a heavy weapons Infantryman of the 1st Cavalry Division who was Killed in Korea on 13 August 1950, and was a native of Hawaii. The group consists of his boxed, officially government machine engraved Purple Heart, Gold Star Mothers pin with his mothers initials engraved on the back, framed certificate (no glass / spotting to paper), signed photo (water damage), hand signed letter of condolence by General Douglas MacArthur, a period copy of same, and some other documents. Comes with a packet of research.
