A George II gros and petit-point needlework clad trunk or coffer
Circa 1755, of domed form, decorated with flowers, acanthus foliage, urns and frolicking cherubs or amorini, the hinged lid enclosing a silk-lined interior, mounted with a handle to each end, 89cm wide, 58cm deep, 49cm high (35in wide, 22 1/2in deep, 19in high)
