Ancient Near East, Mesopotamia, Jemdet Nasr, ca. 3100 to 2900 BCE; Central Asia, Iran / Afghanistan region, Bactrian culture, ca. 2nd to 1st millennium BCE; Ancient Near East, Sasanian (Sassanian / Sassanid) Empire, ca. 2nd to 7th century CE. A wonderful ensemble of 4 stone stamp seals from the ancient Near East and Central Asia. The first and largest is from Bactrian culture and presents 3 annular faces inscribed with linear designs, all surrounding a vertical suspension hole. Next, the rectangular stamp is from the Sasanian Empire and displays a relief standing bird. The last 2 are from the Jemdet Nasr period of the Mesopotamian Empire and are of hemispherical and round tabular forms, each presenting a circular face incised with abstract imagery. Size of largest (Bactrian): 0.6" L x 0.6" W x 0.7" H (1.5 cm x 1.5 cm x 1.8 cm)

Condition
A few nicks and abrasions to surfaces as shown, all commensurate with age. Otherwise, all 4 are intact and excellent with good remaining imagery and light earthen deposits. The 2 Jemdet and 1 Bactrian beads are wearable.
