Description

Donald R. Burgett (1925 – 2017) was a writer and a former World War II paratrooper. He was among the Airborne troopers who landed in Normandy early on the morning of D-Day . He was a member of the 101st Airborne Division , ("The Screaming Eagles"), and the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment . His book, A Screaming Eagle in Holland The Road to Arnhem , Presidio, 1990 Signed and Inscribed on third page. There is also a bookplate on first page signed by 2 members of the 101 st Airborne, Jack Agnew and Paul Miller. Book and dust jacket are in good condition.
