Miles, Samuel. American Revolutionary Colonial: in Battle of Long Island and was taken prisoner and exchanged in 1778. ALS, 1 page, 4to, Philadelphia, August 9, 1781, with integral address leaf intact. To Joseph Reed as President of the supreme executive council of Pennsylvania (Reed was George Washington’s Military Secretary and a distinguished American Revolutionary War officer). Letter concerning as extract from a letter and directions to be taken. Fine.
