Native American, United States, Archaic to Woodlands period, ca. 8000 BCE to 1500 CE. A decorative collection of stone projectile points: arrowheads, spear heads and other various ancient lapidary blades such as scrapers or knives. The stone is primarily chert (flint), quartzite, and at least one made from obsidian. All are mounted on a black felt backing in a large custom wood display case under glass. Size of largest tool: 3.5" L x 2.5" W (8.9 cm x 6.4 cm); frame: 35" L x 23" W (88.9 cm x 58.4 cm)
