The rounded rectangular kinji ground decorated in sumi-e togidashi maki-e with a continuous design of a stormy sea, the interior of rich nashiji; signed on the base in gold hiramaki-e Hogen Eisen ga with a seal Hakugyokusai and Gyonen rokujuyuichi Toyo (Toyo at the age of 61) with a kao; with a shibuichi ojime in the form of a covered jar signed Ichino [...]. 7.2cm x 5.8cm (2 13/16in x 2 5/16in).
