East Asia, Japan, Edo period, Wajima, ca. 19th to early 20th century CE. An elegant, lacquered wood dish featuring a shallow basin with a pair of gilt lobsters adorned by nacre shell inlay. Size: 7.9" Diameter x 1.8" H (20.1 cm x 4.6 cm)
