Description
Pre-Columbian, West Mexican, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A pottery double whistle / flute in an abstract form of a flute player, the body is comprised of 2 hollow cylinders and the mouthpiece is set on the top of the head, with a pair of keyholes on the verso and on the end of each cylinder chamber. The instrument still functions! Size: 6.75" L x 2" W (17.1 cm x 5.1 cm)

Condition
Chip and abrasion to the opening on the double cylinders, but otherwise intact! Manganese deposits scattered on surface. Whistle functions and emits sound and the keyholes change the pitch!
