Description

Septimus Edwin Scott (UK, 1879 - c.1952) Oil on canvas painting of figures bailing hay and loading it onto a horse drawn wagon. Signed lower left. Sight size: 11 x 21.5 in. Overall Size: in. Scott studied at the Royal College of Art and from 1903 was exhibiting at the Royal Academy. He is known as an illustrator as well as a painter, working on periodicals and books, propaganda posters for the Ministry of Munitions during WWI and afterwards in advertising for major brands.
