Description
Production Description: Light-up helmet worn by a Serpent guard, used in the production of Stargate SG-1. Serpent guards protected Apophis and his numerous minions. This cobra design was the television series answer to the Horus and Anubis helmets from the 1994 Stargate feature film. Unlike Teal'c and Apophis's hero working helmets, this static version was designed to remain shut.
Technical Description: Production made armored cobra head. Mask is made of rubber with a fiberglass face plate with numerous eye slits, the face plate attaches with Velcro, mask is painted silver with gold lines and black highlights, the entire surface of the mask is decorated with etched Egyptian/Goa'uld lines and decorations, the eyes of the cobra are clear resin tinted red, the eyes light up by use of an internal on/off switch, functionality is verified, inside the mask is a white hockey helmet with adjustable chin strap, prop shows wear from production use including some peeling paint. Measures approx. 23in x 22in x 22in.
