This cotton 20's/30's carpenter's wheel/broken stars quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with a nice mixture of solid and patterned fabrics. The pattern is also known as: Dutch rose, octagonal star, triple star, orphan star, eccentric star, star and diamond, and morning star. It measures 76" X 92" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of tiny, faint spots (hard to find) and no wear. The quilt is strong and sturdy overall. There is quilting around the perimeter of each piece and in elaborate feathered and other designs in the background, all at an even 8 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the hand stitched binding is the same light blue used in the interior, and the batting is thin.
