Description
North America, southwestern United States, New Mexico, ca. 19th century CE. A wrought-iron wall hanger meant for displaying decorative plates in an attractive frame. The circular hangar has a pair of spiraling arms near the bottom to support a plate as well as nine curl-tipped palmettes around the perimeter. The top loop is set behind a bird-form ornament that adds a decorative touch to the frame. Size: 16.8" W x 17.875" H (42.7 cm x 45.4 cm)

Condition
Minor loosening to some peripheral iron elements, with light encrustations, and slight bending to suspension loop, bird, and body, otherwise intact and very good. Nice patina throughout.
