Description

This cotton 1870's (some fabrics could be earlier) triple Irish chain quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with vibrant late 19th century yellow, red, and green calico fabrics.It measures 76" X 90" and is in mint, unwashed condition, with a couple of small age spots and no wear.The quilting is SUPERB, with close straight line, grid, and feathered designs quilted throughout at an even 10-11 stitches to the inch, with faint pencil marks still visible in places.The back is white, the hand stitched binding is green, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.
