Alexander Calder (1898 - 1976) designed a series of hammocks and tapestry wall hangings to benefit victims of the 1972 earthquake in Managua, Nicaragua. Calder created a total of fourteen tapestry designs which were produced in limited editions of 100. This particular tapestry of Calder's zebra design is marked "AP" rather than part of the series of 100 that were produced.Provenance: The Rhodes-Nadler Collection.Approx. 58" x 96".
