Rare original photograph album of the British Big Game Hunter expedition of Colonist E.E. Limouzin, Dunsandi India.
Collection of fifty eight original silver gelatin photographs during the 1920s in India and British Malaya.
Photographs include Elephant caravans and big game hunting of Tigers, Sambar Deer and Leopards including villages, people, customs and landscapes from Parak, Malaysia and Southern India.
*Limouzin's observation of the differences between skulls of different big cat species-Panthera Tigris was published in The Journal of the Bombay Natural History.
Fifty eight mounted silver gelatin photographs and five photographic postcards mounted onto brown cardboard leaves, string-tied internally at front endpaper.
Photographs vary slightly in size from 3 2/10 in. x 5 1/2 in.
Included are postcards of tattooed and pierced women and girls of the Sakai tribe in Perak and inserted newspaper clipping of E.E.Limouzin posing with a large tiger.
Oblong album by Wubben & Co. of Berlin, measuring approximately 9 1/2 in. x 12 2/10 in.
Condition: good original vintage estate condition.
Provenance: private estate, originally England.
