Harry Truman 3 Boldly Signed TLS & Inaugural Ball Invitation
3p, each measuring 7.25" x 10” on "Harry S. Truman" stationery and written to the Governor of Alabama's press secretary Ralph Hammond from Kansas City Missouri. Each TLS is boldly signed by Truman as "Harry S. Truman". All the letters are accompanied by the original mailing envelopes, with one extra mailing envelope included. Expected flattened folds from mailing, else fine.
Inaugural ball invitation, 8.5" x 11", January 20, 1949, Washington D.C. A gold invite featuring the Presidential seal on the front cover and a blue ribbon to be used as a placeholder. "In honor of the President of the United States Harry S. Truman and the Vice President of the United States Alben W. Barkley. The ball was hosted at the National Guard Armory in honor of the newly sworn President. Slight creasing and foxing, else fine.
