Armin Wirth, 12 'Aluflex' folding chairs, 1951, H. 83 x 49,5 x 50,5 cm. Made by Philip Zieringer Metallwerke, Switzerland. Aluminum frame, plywood, painted black. Condition
This chair only weighs c. 3 kg. The frame of the chair is made of tubular aluminum and shaped in a manner that does not require soldering. Seat and back are of very thin but sustainable air-ply. By lifting the seat, lots of chairs can be fit into each other and stored in a space-saving manner.
