Description
A "The White House / Washington" card boldly signed by sitting 30th U.S. President Calvin Coolidge (1872-1933), as "Calvin Coolidge" at center. The monumental signature measures approximately 3.25" x 1.625" alone and takes up most of the card as matted. Lightly toned, else near fine. The signed card is displayed underneath a silver gelatin photograph of Coolidge seated in a leather armchair; isolated silvering, else near fine. Matted and framed behind glass. Not examined out of the frame. Expected surface wear to the frame including isolated loss. The sight size of the card is 4.125" x 2.75" while the overall size of the frame is 10" x 16.25" x 1.125."
Calvin Coolidge served as president from August 1923--upon the sudden death of his predecessor Warren G. Harding--until March 1929.
