A CHINESE EXPORT FAMILLE ROSE ENAMELED PORCELAIN VASE, QING DYNASTY (1644-1912), MID/LATE 19TH CENTURY, glazed earthenware with overpainted enamel decoration, the compressed quatrefoil-shaped rolled mouth over a neck painted with flower tendrils over lobed shoulders, echoing the quatrefoil shape of the mouth, painted with an encircling pink on pink collar issuing black and green peony and scroll tailfeather fans interspersed by iron red pomegranate reserves centering seasonal flower sprays, over a dramatically waisted body enameled as a harmonious landscape bursting with flower blooms concealing a pair of peacocks, the conforming flared foot with iron red ruyi mushroom band, on the reverse a descending moth flutters towards a single blossom. Height: 14 1/2" Width: 5" Depth: 4"
Condition
Label residues, kiln frits, and glaze skips with apparent accretion, handling marks, rubbed and lost enamel decoration, now lacking lid, and some discoloration beneath glaze throughout.
