Fleischmann, Nuremberg 1755. 14 x 8 1/2-inch folioenhanced title, typographical title page printed in red and black, full-page dedication leaf with engravings by Tyroff, elaborate head- and tail-pieces, folding genealogical tables, and eighteen copper-plate engravings—many of which are double-page or foldable—illustrated the book. It was bound in a modern half-vellum with paste-paper boards. Excellent state Born in Lichtenau, Johann Christoph Gatterer was a German historian who lived from July 13, 1727, until April 5, 1799. He was the father of poet Magdalena Philippine Engelhard (1756–1831) and cameralist Christoph Wilhelm Jacob Gatterer (1759–1838). He belonged to the historical school known as Gottingen. (660).
